A Weekend at Benoît Havard’s Exhibition – Live Painting

Everyone knows that to truly experience art, you have to see it in person. Last weekend we had the rare opportunity to not only view acclaimed French painter Benoît Havard’s latest works in our Cotswold Contemporary galleries but we watched him create a new masterpiece before our very own eyes. 

From an evening exhibition in our cirencester gallery with such a warm welcome we saw the working original off the easel from his live painting get sold. It was so wonderful to see collectors and new buyers of his works. 

Leading into the second celebration at our Burford Gallery we had more live painting during the afternoon and had a great audience that watched in awe as he used his palette knife to mark the high rises of Manhattan. Lots of new collectors took home their original sketches, original paintings and limited editions. Now to be hung and admired in their new homes. 

Havard’s signature cityscape paintings really took centre stage. We really had an incredible weekend experiencing the talent of Benoît Havard’s art first-hand. His vision and talent is truly inspiring. If you didn’t get a chance to attend, don’t despair – his original works and limited edition prints are still available to add vibrant beauty to your life and home.  But for those lucky enough to have been there, the memories of this remarkable event will stay with you, as lasting and vivid as Benoît’s paintings themselves. A perfect weekend and a perfect reminder of the power of art to uplift the human spirit
