Brad Robson’s ‘Darker Shade Of Cerulean’ is a captivating exploration of urban pop-culture, where nostalgia meets transformation. This limited edition piece, measuring 89 × 80 cm framed, is a striking example of Robson’s unique approach. The artwork features a figure adorned in a black leather outfit, set against a vibrant cerulean backdrop. The figure’s identity is obscured by a playful yet mysterious mask, evoking a sense of intrigue and curiosity. Robson employs erasing squeegee strokes to distort the iconic imagery, creating a dynamic tension between recognition and abstraction. This technique challenges the viewer to reconsider familiar cultural symbols, transforming them into something entirely new. The bold use of colour and texture makes this piece a standout addition to any contemporary art collection, offering both visual impact and thought-provoking depth.
