Scott Tetlow’s ‘Iconic Trophy Object’ is a striking piece that captures the essence of urban commentary with a touch of whimsy. This limited edition artwork, measuring 88.4 × 75.4 cm framed, is a digital print on fine art paper, using pigment inks to ensure vibrant and lasting colours. The piece features a contemplative chimpanzee sitting beside a pedestal labeled ‘Iconic Trophy Object’, topped with a playful banana. The monochrome sketch style, punctuated by the vivid yellow and pink of the banana, creates a dynamic contrast that draws the viewer in. Tetlow’s work often explores themes of identity and societal norms, and this piece is no exception, inviting reflection on what we consider iconic or valuable. This artwork would make a thought-provoking addition to any collection, offering both visual appeal and intellectual depth.
